Final day to edit your writing before  your peer edits it. Please be sure to have your climax, falling action and resolution written. Remember that the conflict needs to be resolved by the resolution in some way.

Finish Bonne Anne questions and silent read your AR book for tomorrow's test. 

 Today we will pull down our second quotation from the newsela article and write a lead in and citation for it . Then we will write an analysis sentence and afterwards a closing sentence for the paragraph.

We worked on transferring our Newsela paragraph to  Classroom.google.com.

We moved our topic sentence over and then pulled our first quotation and wrote a lead in for it that answered at least two of the following about the quote: Who, What, When, Where, Why or How. We then put our intext citation after the quote. We colored the lead in yellow, the quote green, and the intext citation pink.

AR test will be in class this Friday. Please be sure to finish reading your second AR book for this quarter.  Today in class we will work on editing the paragraph you wrote for NEWSELA's  Hurricane Matthew article. Correct intext citation and Works cited is necessary. 

Today in class we finished  reading an article on Hurricane Matthew as an INTO for our next short story " Bonne Anne". Students read on line based on chosen lexile level, then completed a quiz. Afterwards they were to have written a paragraph using two pieces of information from the article, cite the article correctly and use intext citation in their paragraph. We will be reviewing on Monday.
