A trip to Magic Mountain is planned for 8th grade La Mesa students who have completed all credit requirements (92.5 by the end of the third quarter), and have no indebtedness.  Students must comply with all school and Magic Mountain regulations.  Violators of school or Magic Mountain rules may be referred to the Santa Clarita Sheriff’s station.  Students who commit a serious offense will be removed from the park.  Parents will be notified to pick up their child at either Magic Mountain or the Sheriff’s station.  The cost of this trip is $55.00 and includes bus transportation, a t-shirt and admission to Magic Mountain.  If your child has a season pass, $20 will be charged for bus fare and t-shirt.

Tickets will be on sale April 10 through April 14 at the ASB window during brunch and lunch only.  There will be no sales after school.  Students must have an I.D. card and all debts must be cleared before signing up for this trip.  A signed permission slip (enclosed with this letter) is required.  Students need to bring money for food, games and/or souvenirs.  Parent and teacher chaperones will accompany the students on the bus.  Students will be on their own upon arriving at the park.

If your child receives free or reduced lunch and you would like a sack lunch prepared for them, please complete the attached form and return it to the ASB window by April 14th.  Please be aware that if you choose to have your child receive their free or reduced lunch, they will have to exit Magic Mountain and eat their sack lunch in the picnic area located in the parking lot.  If you choose not to have your child receive their free or reduced lunch, please send them with cash to purchase a meal inside the park.

Buses will leave La Mesa at 10 a.m. and return at 7 p.m.  Note:  Parents must be waiting for students at La Mesa upon arrival.  Students must wear appropriate school attire.  Keep in mind that Magic Mountain rules do not allow crop tops or baggy clothes.
Students must ride the district bus to and from the park and wear their provided t-shirt to ride the bus and during their stay at the park.  NO EXCEPTIONS!
